Anesthesia Care Provider

Duties

Provides independent, comprehensive anesthesia care for obstetric and surgical patients within a Military Treatment Facility.

Identifies emergency situations and critical changes in patients' status; notifies surgeon and seeks assistance from the perioperative and anesthesia teams as needed.

Administers anesthesia via the most appropriate method for each patient's procedure.

Determines the optimal type and method of anesthesia care to administer for a broad range of surgical procedures at the MTF.

Renders life-saving care and procedures in emergency situations.
