Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of the Actuary. As a Actuary, GS-1510-14, you will serve as a technical and actuarial advisor reviewing Medicaid managed care capitation rates and developing review standards and processes. Responsibilities Lead the development of Medicare and Medicaid cost estimates that involve coordination with actuaries developing estimates for Title II Disability Insurance benefits and/or Title XVI Supplemental Security Income payments. Develop and maintain a person-based database which includes utilization data for all health care services covered under Medicaid and CHIP. Provide actuarial and technical assistance in review of Medicaid or other health care program waivers, alternative payment models, and managed care programs within the Office of the Actuary and to other CMS components.
