Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This role involves managing sales ledger activities, credit control, bank reconciliations across multiple currency accounts and supporting month-end and year-end processes. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry, along with strong accounting knowledge, Sage 50 proficiency and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Ledger:
* Record and allocate customer receipts.
* Maintain up-to-date customer accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices.
* Credit Control:
* Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments.
* Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts and arrange payment plans if necessary.
Bank Reconciliations:
* Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple currency bank accounts.
