Position Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of a busy and successful business.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of finance administration while working closely with the wider team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reconcile bank, cash and credit card accounts.
* Maintain debtor and creditor ledgers.
* Prepare, submit and reconcile VAT returns.
* Process monthly direct debit collections.
* Post journals, including prepayments and accruals.
* Complete account reconciliations through to trial balance at year end.
* Ensure financial deadlines and statutory requirements are met.
* Assist with monthly billing and invoicing.
* Process payroll using Sage Payroll.
