Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures proper operation and maintenance of building utilities including steam generation, ammonia refrigeration, plumbing, compressed air, hydraulics, low pressure blowers, HVAC, wastewater pre-treatment and other building systems critical to operation of the facility as well as production equipment maintenance and repair as needed.


Job Responsibilities


+ Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment (compressors, condensers, and pumps) to ensure safe and effective performance of the system.
Install, inspect, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, filling and processing equipment tied to the ammonia and related cooling systems.

+ Operate and maintain steam boilers, assisting with annual boiler inspection and certification.

+ Operate and maintain air compressors and plant compressed air system.
