Job Summary
Assists the Chief Engineer in providing technical support, domestic and industrial services to all areas of the MODU. Exercises effective control and efficient operation of the MODU power plant and machinery with attention to the safety of the crew, protection of the environment and safety of the MODU.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for safety of crew, environment and engine room as well as his/her own safety. Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour and weekly safety meetings. Responsible for the watch in the Engine Control Room. Supervises other personnel on watch and to assure the proper power distribution on the MODU. Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water and other fluids safely and efficiently. Maintains the order, cleanliness and housekeeping at mechanical sites.
